UPDATE, WEDNESDAY, OCT 16 REGARDING CALL ISSUES
Per all carriers involved outside of local telephone switching centers, the issue is carrier related
affecting large area. It appears to be with CenturyLink or Level 3 carrier connections to
Windstream legacy phone numbers. It is NOT related to STS/Zultys systems applications.
STS has been in constant contact with SCRTC as well throughout this incident. STS will keep you
posted on their updating and resolution. STS only has a few locations requiring forwarding due to
way the carriers operate to provide the calls that were experiencing problems to numbers that
could receive calls through or by the associated local telephone company rate centers.
The reports ranges from calls with one way audio to getting an intercept message that number
cannot be dialed. If you are reporting a new scenario, it will be helpful if you provide the caller
number (called from) and the called number (dialed to) which we will pass on to the appropriate
carrier service centers.
We sincerely apologized for this inconvenience, and STS is and still is, making all efforts to stay on
top of things for progress reports from the associated carriers outside of our and local telephone
company control.
